ACTIVE ACE / PRODUCT DETAILS

Active Ace combines alnico V magnets with an onboard low-noise preamp. Its low-impedance output preserves high-frequency detail over long cable runs without requiring changes to downstream gain settings. Final assembly takes place in California, with designs optimized for neck and bridge positions.

USING THE CONTROLS

FRONT PANEL

MODE: Three kinds of sound character are available. Contemporary — smooth frequency response from low to high; the response a guitarist knows from a typical active or low-impedance pickup. Traditional — traditional (vintage) passive pickup sound, from the active circuit. Bright — bright sound, similar to a new set of strings; clear and brilliant tone.
COIL TAP: Selects single coil and humbucker sound. No loss of pickup level — the output level of the single coil is automatically increased to match the humbucker output level.
POWER BOOSTER: Output boost of 6 dB across the entire frequency range. This is not a mid booster.
